CO2LaserResurfacing
Fractional CO2 Laser - Dramatic Skin Renewal
CO2 laser resurfacing is one of the most powerful skin rejuvenation treatments available - delivering dramatic improvement in wrinkles, scars, texture, and overall skin quality. At Thrive! MedAesthetics, we use fractional CO2 technology to create thousands of microscopic treatment zones while leaving surrounding tissue intact for faster healing.
This treatment is ideal for patients seeking significant improvement in deep wrinkles, acne scars, sun damage, and skin laxity who are willing to invest in a recovery period for transformative results.

What Is CO2 Laser Resurfacing?
Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing works by creating thousands of tiny, deep columns of thermal damage in the skin (microthermal zones) while leaving the surrounding tissue intact. This triggers an intense wound-healing response that produces new collagen, tightens existing collagen fibers, and replaces damaged skin with fresh, healthy tissue. The fractional approach dramatically reduces downtime compared to traditional full-field CO2 lasers while still delivering remarkable results.
Also known as: CO2 laser, fractional CO2, laser skin resurfacing, ablative laser, skin resurfacing, scar revision laser, deep wrinkle treatment, RF CO2 resurfacing, skin renewal laser
How Does It Work?
Consultation
Thorough skin assessment and discussion of goals, downtime expectations, and pre-treatment preparation.
Pre-Treatment
For certain skin types and conditions, a prescription skincare regimen may be started 2-4 weeks before treatment to optimize results and healing.
Treatment Day
Topical numbing is applied for 45-60 minutes. The CO2 laser is then precisely applied to the treatment area.
Recovery
Expect 5-7 days of significant redness and swelling, followed by peeling. Full recovery takes 2-3 weeks.
Results
With 2-4 sessions, most patients see dramatic improvement in skin texture, wrinkles, and scars. Results continue to improve for 3-6 months as new collagen forms.
