What Contributes to Laxity

Collagen and elastin give skin its firmness and spring. Production slows with age, and UV exposure, smoking, weight fluctuation and other lifestyle factors can affect what remains. The visible result may include softening along the jawline and neck, more noticeable pores, and uneven or crepey texture.

Different Treatments Work at Different Depths

Options work at different depths and may include fractional CO2 laser resurfacing, Q-switched Nd:YAG laser, microneedling alone or with growth factors or autologous hair-follicle-derived secretome, biomodulation, calcium hydroxylapatite biostimulator injections, and micro-focused ultrasound skin tightening. Suitability is assessed at consultation.
