What Is Vascular Laser Treatment?
Vascular laser treatment uses targeted light energy that is specifically absorbed by hemoglobin (the red pigment in blood). When the laser energy is absorbed, it heats and damages the walls of the targeted blood vessels, causing them to collapse and seal shut. Over the following weeks, the body naturally absorbs the treated vessels and they fade from view. The surrounding skin and tissue remain unharmed.
